On Feb. 29, coaches and athletes from the Nassau Thunderbolts held presentations at the New Hyde Park Road School teaching students disability awareness, inclusion and their passion of Boccia. The Thunderbolts are a competitive Boccia team made up of athletes with Cerebral Palsy. Students watched demonstrations, interacted with the coaches and athletes and had the opportunity to play with the adapted equipment.
