Hillside Grade School second graders recently started their Project Lead the Way unit on habitats by learning about flora and fauna.
The students observed various habitats, labeling the flora and fauna displayed in the image. Using PLTW software, the students explored the Pacific Ocean and drew their own version of the water habitat shown. The students will utilize this software to research habitats – including the rainforest, desert and arctic – for the culminating project of the unit.
The lesson concluded with a Brain Pop video about the oceans and sea creatures.
