Manor Oaks School sixth graders proudly displayed their science research projects at the Science Fair on Feb. 11.

In early December, the students chose a topic they were interested in researching. Working individually or in pairs, the sixth graders worked on a question, hypothesis and conclusion in relation to their topic. Their final posterboards included these elements, as well as materials used, their procedure, and how their topic relates to science and why it is important. They had conferences with their teachers throughout the process to go over their progress.

Among the projects were “Battle of the Bottles,” “Which Apple Contains the Most Juice?” “How Gaming Affects Sleep,” “Soccer Ball Showdown” and “Compost Creation.”

During the Science Fair, the sixth graders presented to their peers, staff and families.
