The district is pleased to announce that 10 fourth grade students districtwide were selected to perform in the PEAK (Parents, Educators, and Kids) Festival, hosted by the Nassau Music Educators Association, on Nov. 23. The PEAK Festival serves as an introduction to an All-County Festival for younger students.
The fourth graders selected to sing in the PEAK Festival are: Johanna Lin, Shreya Nair, Gabriella Tat and Patrick Ward from Garden City Park School; Abigail Newman from Hillside Grade School; Alessandra Curatolo and Sumaiyah Islam from Manor Oaks School; and Henry Jiang, Erin McNeely and Sophia Zhang from New Hyde Park Road School.
The students were nominated for the honor by their respective music teachers, Joanna Malaszczyk at Hillside Grade and Manor Oaks, and Calob Congdon at Garden City Park and Road.
