The district’s Lego Robotics teams joined together for the Lego Expo, held at Manor Oaks School, on June 10.
Third and fourth grade teams from each of the four school buildings showcased their Lego projects. This year, the students participated in the FIRST Lego League MASTERPIECE challenge. Using Legos and Lego Education software, each group creatively designed the components of an outdoor music festival. Their projects included an interactive stage, along with Lego performers. The students utilized a coding program to control the stage and add music.
The students worked on their Lego projects over the course of 12 sessions, which began in January. There are approximately two to four teams per building, with about four to five students on each team.
