As part of the district’s spring after-school SCOPE Explorations Program, Manor Oaks School students enrolled in the Architecture and Engineering Design course created and designed multiple projects.

Each week, students in grades 3-6 worked on a different project, such as creating skyscrapers out of cardboard, crafting pyramids out of toothpicks and candy, and building bridges with molding clay. During the last session, the students were tasked with creating anything they wanted out of the available materials. The course was led by third grade teacher Lisa Kay.

The SCOPE Explorations Program is offered at all four school buildings.
